  • After 15 years of dedicated service, the Board of Directors and Interim Executive Director have made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization due to a combination of shifts in the nonprofit funding landscape and state of the current US economy. We are choosing to close responsibly while we have the resources to ensure as many soft landings as possible for our participants.


  • Our physical offices and peer-support advocacy services will officially conclude on May 8th, 2026. We will spend the days until May 29th, 2026 winding down administrative tasks and final asset distributions.

  • Your care is our top priority. Our team is currently working with every active participant to provide a "warm hand-off" to vetted, trauma-informed partner organizations. You will receive a specific transition plan via email by May 8th, 2026.


  • Yes. Your privacy remains a legal and ethical priority. All digital and physical records will be securely destroyed in strict accordance with Nevada state law and our privacy policy.

  • The Free Store will hold its final event on May 1st, 2026. We are currently in talks with appropriate partner organization to transition our inventory so that these essential supplies continue to support our communities in Portland, OR and Las Vegas, NV. 

  • All funds currently held by The Cupcake Girls will be used to fulfill our final obligations to staff and creditors. Any remaining "charitable assets" will be granted to appropriate 501(c)(3) nonprofits in NV and OR that share our commitment to sex worker rights and survivor support.


  • No. Our operations team will be systematically disabling all recurring giving profiles on GoFundMePro by May 8th. You should see no further charges after that time. You will receive your tax donation receipt for 2026 the week of May 11th, 2026.

  • Yes. Final tax substantiation letters for all contributions made in 2026 will be mailed or emailed to the address on file no later than the week of May 11th, 2026.

  • While The Cupcake Girls as an organization is dissolving, we are proud to see our "Support Without Agenda" philosophy live on through our community partners. Please check our website here for a list of recommended organizations and efforts. We encourage the community to direct their future support to these vital organizations.

  • Post-dissolution, all legal inquiries and requests for records should be directed to our designated custodian of records: To Be Named after April 28th, 2026.
