A Moment of Pause: Evolving Our Virtual Support Groups

At The Cupcake Girls, our heart has always been rooted in a simple but powerful mission: to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and deeply valued. For the last several years, our bi-weekly virtual support groups have been a sanctuary. A place to share stories, find common ground, and remind one another that no one has to walk their path alone.

We are writing to you today with transparency and care to share that The Cupcake Girls will be intentionally pausing our bi-weekly virtual support groups for the foreseeable future.

Why We’re Pausing

This wasn't a decision made lightly or in haste. It comes from a place of deep respect for our community and a commitment to excellence. We believe that "good enough" isn't enough when it comes to the emotional well-being of the people we serve.

The world is changing, and the needs of sex workers and survivors of trafficking are evolving. To ensure we are showing up for you in the most impactful way possible, we need to take a step back. This pause is a season of intentional analysis. We are looking inward and outward, asking ourselves: How can we serve you better? What do modern, accessible, and holistic support systems look like in 2026?

By hitting the "pause" button, we are creating the necessary room to listen, learn, and rebuild. We want to ensure that when we step back into this space, we are offering tools and environments that are as resilient and vibrant as the people who use them.

We’re Still Here for You

While the "Join Zoom" link might be inactive for a while, our commitment to you remains as steady as ever. We know that the need for community doesn't stop just because a scheduled meeting does.

If you are looking for a space to connect, heal, or simply talk to others who "get it," we want to help you find your next landing spot. During this transition:

  • Reach Out: Our team is still available to provide resources.

  • Referrals: We have a curated list of trusted partner organizations and support groups specifically for sex workers and trafficking survivors.

  • Support: You can contact us via our website, and we will do our best to point you toward a community that fits your current needs.

Looking Forward

Growth often requires a period of stillness. Think of this as the "winter" phase of this portion of our programming, a time for the soil to rest so that something even stronger can grow in the spring.

We are so grateful for the vulnerability you’ve shared in our virtual rooms and the trust you’ve placed in us. This isn't a goodbye to support; it’s a "see you soon" to an even better version of it. We are excited to do the work behind the scenes to make sure our future offerings are exactly what you deserve.

With love, solidarity, and gratitude,

The Cupcake Girls Team
